Rajeev De Mello is head of Asian fixed income at Schroders Investment Management Ltd based in Singapore. He joined Schroders in 2011 and prior to that, he was head of Asian fixed income at Pictet Asset Management. He joined Pictet in 1999 to manage European aggregate bond strategies. Rajeev graduated from Georgetown University with an MBA and the London School of Economics with a BSc (Hons) in Economics.

Objective

The Schroder Asian Credit Opportunities aims to provide income and capital growth by investing in fixed and floating rate securities issued by governments, government agencies, supra-nationals and corporates issued by mostly Asian issuers. At least two-thirds of the Schroder Asian Credit Opportunities will be invested in Asian fixed and floating rate investment grade and high yield securities issued by governments, government agencies, supra-nationals and corporates with no explicit requirement to have a bias towards either. Financial derivative instruments (including, but not limited to, futures, credit default swaps, interest rate swaps, currency forwards and options).
