Oisin Crawley, CFA, director, is a portfolio manager, research analyst and head of research within the Asian Equities team in the Fundamental Equity division of BlackRock's Alpha Strategies Group. He is responsible for coordinating team research and ideas output, managing regional equity strategies and assists in setting regional equity investment strategies. Oisin also provides research coverage for Australian equities. Before joining BlackRock in 2014, he was a partner at TT International in London, and then Hong Kong, with responsibility for Asia-Pacific within ACWI, along with the development and management of regional equity funds. Oisin started his career at Morgan Stanley in 1999 as a European equity analyst. He earned a BA with honours in Oriental Studies (Japanese) from Cambridge University in 1999.

Alethea Leung

Alethea Leung joined Blackrock’s Asian equity team in 2009, where she is a vice president and portfolio manager of the BGF ASEAN Leaders fund. Prior to joining the team, Leung worked as a research analyst with BlackRock's Global Emerging Market team in London, where she covered Emerging Asian equities. She began her career at BlackRock in 2007 as a member of the Global Fixed Income team. Leung earned a MChem degree, with first class honours in chemistry from the University of Oxford in 2007.

Objective

The Fund seeks an above average income from its equity investments without sacrificing long term capital growth. It will invests at least 70% of its total assets in equity securities of companies domiciled in, or exercising the predominant part of their economic activity in, the Asia Pacific region excluding Japan.
